赵乔一（吴倩饰）和言默（张雨剑饰）是高中同桌，他们一个性格大大咧咧迷迷糊糊，另一个则是学校里有名的冷血学霸。就是这样两个性格大相径庭的人，暧昧的情愫在他们之间渐渐的产生了。临近毕业时，言默邀请赵乔一和他一同前往国外深造，却被后者拒绝了。之后，虽然两人相隔千山万水，但是两人的缘分却并没有被冲淡。　　在大学里，赵乔一度过了平平凡凡的四年，唯一与日俱增的，是她对言默的思念。毕业后，赵乔一一狠心，决定抛弃一切，来到言默所在的城市白手起家。柴米油盐的生活让赵乔一和言默之间常常产生矛盾，外界的阻挠和意外的发生也让他们的恋情险象环生。Zhao Qiao Yi and Yan Mo are classmates in high school.
