暂无简介Blockaded Leningrad. Winter. Cold. Classes are underway in the primary school and we see a group of boys harassing a smaller classmate, Smeliy, and knocking him to the ground, saying that his father is a traitor. The little lad lay huddled up in a ball on the concrete playground, whimpering that his father is no traitor but was taken captive, and will soon return to fight the Germans once again. The harassment continues once inside the classroom, with dirty looks and paper wads hurled at our young protagonist. All at once the air raid siren is heard and all the classes come pouring out of the school, heading towards a bomb shelter. But little Smeliy lags behind, and we see that in the end the weakest child turns out to be the bravest of all.
